Overseas student health cover
The Australian government requires international students and their dependents to purchase OSHC for the full duration of their studies. UNSW's partnered supplier is Medibank Private Limited, which you can find on campus.
See https://www.medibankoshc.com.au/oshc/unsw for more details on eligibility and plan coverage. You may also wish to add dental coverage, which is more expensive compared to Singapore. Upon your arrival on campus, you can bring your eCOE and identification documents down to the Medibank branch on lower campus to request for your OSHC card. |
Visiting doctors
If you require medical attention, University Health Service located at the Quadrangle Building provides healthcare services on campus. It would be advisable to make an appointment online as walk-in services are not always available. This is available on http://www.healthservices.unsw.edu.au/ or you can download Appointuit (Application) to book your appointments.
For more serious and urgent medical issues, the nearest hospitals are the Prince of Wales Private Hospital at Randwick, and St Vincent’s Hospital in Darlinghurst. |
